RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead day to day Design and Construction management of significant elements on large scale projects, including procurement, installation, and commissioning. 

- Delivering within budget and program to the satisfaction of the joint Venture & client. Responsible for leading the project team, be totally responsible for the day to day running of the project, ensuring programme deliverables and project profitability is maintained / maximized. 

- Ensure that the project team and supply chain work in a safe manner at all times. 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

- Educated to HNC level or equivalent is essential.

- A person who is commercially and contractually astute would be preferred. 

- Likely to hold professional qualification.

- Has excellent technical background in his/ her discipline

- Is able to manage sub contract accounts and projection of their final account value as part of the project P & L account. 

- Is able to be confident in meetings / presentations to enable clients to select us as their first choice. 

- Is a good communicator both with the team he / she is working with and with his / her supply chain. 

- Is able to make decisions quickly and decisively for the work package he / she is responsible for. 

- Is able to demonstrate forward thinking to prevent issues arising on projects which could affect programme and cost deliverables. 

- Has a good understanding of modern construction techniques. 

- Has an excellent drive to improve construction safety and environmental issues. 

- Background working on major projects desirable.
